Three men, 21, 23 and 25 years old, were provisionally detained through the Panama Oeste Regional Prosecutor’s Office, through the Second Section of Crimes against Economic Patrimony, for their alleged participation in an aggravated robbery, to the detriment of a 44-year-old man.
During the hearing of multiple requests, the Circuit Prosecutor Linnette Velasco, evidenced before the guarantee judge, Yorleni Rodríguez, the responsibility of the accused in the punishable act, achieving the legalization of the arrest, the imputation of charges and the application of the aforementioned precautionary measure.
The foregoing corresponds to an event that occurred on September 8, 2022, when the victim boarded a vehicle in Plaza 5 de Mayo, which offered the alternative transportation service (pirate) and on the Arraiján-La Chorrera highway, between the bridge of Arraiján and the Bique bridge, three individuals who were on board threatened him with a knife and a firearm, managing to strip him of a cell phone, work card and other belongings that were later located, when at 1:30 a.m. , Canal Area Police units retain the vehicle in Balboa.
