The journalist Claudia Aguilera spoke for the first time since the murder of her husband and thanked the people for their support. She also asked the authorities for a real fight against drug trafficking and organized crime.
During the presentation of the emblematic Convair 240 of Líneas Aéreas Paraguayas (LAP), at the Silvio Pettirossi airport, in honor of Marcelo Pecci, the communicator Claudia Aguilera widow of Pecci gave an emotional speech about what happened.
“Today I speak publicly again, after the interview with a Colombian media outlet, when, in a panic, I had to confirm that my husband was killed.”, Aguilera expressed as the first point.
He said that he chose the airport as the place to speak, because it was there that he shared feelings with Marcelo Pecci, to the point that they even considered holding the wedding there, considering how fond the prosecutor was of aviation.
“Not only do I want to value Marcelo Pecci as the excellent prosecutor he was, but alsoI want to remember the man who gave me the miracle of his love, who made me a wife and mother and who gave me my first love”Aguilera said.

He explained that, behind those suits that he used for his hearings, and the tactical clothing for the operatives, there was an honest citizen, concerned about his environment, family and friends.
He also described it as a passionate about his work, the Guarani club, his pets, the San José school, and of course, aviation. He told that, among his aspirations were, to become president of Dinac and State Attorney General.
“He put those dreams aside to give us priority as a family, he did not exalt himself with influences, he was humble, I love remembering it this way, that they remember it that way, and that my son Marcelito later considers these memories as treasures”he added.
At another time, he directed his cry to the Colombian authorities, to the Paraguayan Prosecutor’s Office, to the governments and to the politicians. “I ask for a real fight against drug trafficking and against organized crime.”
Finally, with admirable strength and despite what happened to her, Claudia left a message of encouragement for everyone. “I ask that, above adversity and grief, we be grateful to God, make a commitment to our happiness and to be better people.”
