Two people allegedly engaged in the illegal arms and ammunition trade were captured on the Bridge over Lake Maracaibo, Zulia, according to military reports. The detainees are identified as David Leonardo Sanabria Mavesoy and Joanly María Pavón Lemus.
The couple is a member of the criminal group Los Araucos, dedicated to the trafficking and trade of firearms and ammunition from Colombia, according to investigations by Detachment 116 of the Bolivarian National Guard whose troops carried out the arrest.
Through the telephone emptying, it was possible to show photographs, videos and audios in the memory of the telephones, related to the arms trade, says the military report.
Sanabria and Pavón were traveling in a white Toyota Land Cruiser, license plate A73AZ2H from La Victoria (Apure) to Casigua El Cubo (Zulia).
At the time of the arrest, the military seized two cell phones and nine million Colombian pesos. The couple will be prosecuted for illicit trafficking and trade in firearms and ammunition.
