Four subjects allegedly collaborating with irregular groups were arrested in Apure, according to reports from the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) to which we had access.
The two procedures were carried out at the Santos Luzardo Pier, Páez municipality (Guasdualito), Apure. In a first operation they retained a metal boat, an outboard motor and 450 liters of gasoline, says the report.
During this procedure, they arrested Juan Manuel Mejías Urquijo and Eli Josué Laya Rojas, members of the Los Luzardeños criminal group, who allegedly provide logistics to the Tancol groups (Colombian Armed Drug Trafficking Terrorists) that operate in the area.
On that same Santos Luzardo pier, the military detained two other alleged collaborators of the Tancol groups, identified as Jesús Daniel Rivas Hernández and Juglis Emir Chacón Puerta, members of the Los Rivereños criminal group.
These subjects seized a wooden boat, an outboard motor and 1,220 liters of gasoline.
The four detainees will be prosecuted for extraction smuggling, among other crimes.
Disabled aircraft. In another procedure, a plane was disabled in Apure “which flagrantly violated Venezuelan airspace at low altitude,” according to information published last Wednesday by General Domingo Hernández Lárez, head of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb ) on his twitter account.
The plane tried to circumvent the radars, without authorization from Maiquetía and without an identification code or transponder, explained the head of Ceofanb.
