They caught four ammunition sellers

Security agencies arrested four men allegedly engaged in the sale of ammunition to criminal groups.

Jesús Antonio Mendoza García (27) is one of those captured, according to information published on the Cicpc networks. This subject provided bullets to the Los Maleteros criminal organization, for which he was captured in the Las Brisas sector of January 23, José Félix Ribas municipality (La Victoria), Aragua state.

At the time of being arrested, the man had “several FRB ammunition, caliber 5,728, which he intended to sell for $50,” says the scientific police report.

The gang Los Maleteros, to which the war material was directed, is dedicated to extortion, vehicle theft and drug sales, according to the investigation.

Two other suppliers of ammunition to criminal gangs were arrested in the La Fritera sector, Angostura municipality (Ciudad Piar), Bolívar: Alexo Daniel García Liscano, and Roiny Moisés Ruiz Cedeño.

These individuals sell ammunition to the El Ciego criminal gang and were captured by members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB).

Two pistols were seized from García and Ruiz: Px4 Storm, caliber 9mm and Browning 9mm, a portable radio and 25 cartridges of various calibers.

And in the vicinity of the La Rinconada Metro station, Caracas, the military detained Jesús Eduardo Rivero Rangel and seized 28 .38-caliber cartridges from him.

The detainees will be prosecuted for illicit trafficking in ammunition, among other crimes.
