GNB captured six drug traffickers

Officials from the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) detained five individuals who were transporting 57 panels of cocaine. This procedure was carried out on Monday afternoon at the Citizen Service Point located in La Victoria, Antonio Pinto Salinas municipality (Santa Cruz de Mora), Mérida state.

In the aforementioned checkpoint, the soldiers assigned to Detachment 222 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) searched a truck where they located the drugs hidden in internal compartments. The stash totaled a weight of 63 kilos and 14 grams, the report says.

During the procedure, the five occupants of the vehicle identified as Félix de Jesús Jaimes Rosales, José Roberto Zambrano Roa, Daniel José Durán Huizar, Javier Humberto Belandria Peña and José Alirio Zambrano Roa were detained, the minutes break down.

To date, the various security, police and military organizations have seized 65,530 kilos of different drugs, reported the Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello last Wednesday. “They will not pass their drugs through here,” stressed the Minister.
