A member of the Tren de Aragua criminal organization was arrested in El Samán de Güere, Santiago Mariño municipality (Turmero) of the central entity, according to military sources.
Ángel Eduardo Pérez Paredes is the name of the detainee, whose capture was the product of a “field investigation and analysis of telephone traces,” according to the report prepared by officers attached to the National Anti-Drug Command (Conas) of the Bolivarian National Guard.
This subject allegedly made phone calls and sent text messages via WhatsApp, demanding a high sum in dollars from the victim so as not to threaten his life or that of his relatives.
Pérez Paredes was handed over to the Public Ministry where they opened a file for extortion.
