Military agents caught two women just as they were about to collect a vaccine, according to reports collected, which indicate that this event occurred in Valle de la Pascua (Guárico), specifically between Guasco and Mascota streets.
The procedure was carried out by officials assigned to the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas), an elite group of the Bolivarian National Guard. Conas acted following a complaint filed about extortion carried out from a telephone line. Upon obtaining the data from the extortionists, the military designed a controlled delivery procedure to attract the criminals, who arrived at the agreed location to collect what was demanded in dollars.
And that is when the women, both 19 years old, were arrested and handed over to the Public Ministry for criminal prosecution. During the operation, the military seized two cell phones.
Initial investigations revealed that the detainees are part of the Tren del Llano cell that operates in Valle de la Pascua, headed by Kenny Meza. The criminal group is dedicated to charging for vaccines from merchants who live in the aforementioned Guariqueña city as well as from medium and small producers who have their crops and livestock in the rural area, according to testimonies collected.
Ammunition
Another procedure carried out in Valle de la Pascua was the capture of two men from whom they seized the sum of 30 cartridges intended for rifles. The arrest of the two subjects occurred on Las Industrias Avenue where they were approached by agents of the Bolivarian National Police. The individuals were traveling in a Bronco truck, license plate A00AS4H.
Both procedures are part of Operation Zaraza, one of the nine plans that the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Force keeps active to counteract the criminal action of criminal groups that operate in the Guárico state, according to the explanation given in various statements by the Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López.
In that sense, the Tren del Llano is one of the groups that is in the process of being dismantled due to the joint action of the military and police commissions.
