Agents of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) captured two subjects who were carrying 40 cartridges for rifles, among other materials, according to military sources.
The procedure was carried out in the Santa Isabel sector, Andrés Bello municipality, Trujillo, where 40 cartridges for 7.62X51 caliber rifles and a radio transmitter were seized.
The aforementioned material was in the possession of Anthony José Campos Artigas (El Topocho) and José Gregorio Briceño Ávila (El Lechuza), who are on the list as members of the criminal organization founded by Darwin Antonio Rivas García (27), alias El Cagón, specialized in collecting vaccines and committing hit men, among others.
Another military procedure was carried out in the El Sutil sector, Rafael Urdaneta municipality (Cúa), Miranda, where a Taurus 92 AFS 9 mm pistol and eight cartridges were seized.
A member of the El Chúo gang identified as Eduardo Javier Montes Zapata was detained at that site.
In Nueva Esparta, nine were arrested during different procedures where four firearms were seized, according to reports.
One of the operations took place in Santa Ana, Gómez municipality, where they captured three members of the criminal group Los Cohetes: Pedro Nicolás Díaz Díaz, Luis Acosta Vargas and José Rodríguez Vallenilla.
The subjects possessed a 9 mm pistol and eight cartridges of the same caliber, according to a report from Detachment 712 of the GNB.
And in Porlamar, Mariño municipality, the military retained a non-industrially manufactured firearm and four 12-gauge cartridges. Said material was transported by Luis Richard Lemus Oropeza, Jesús Daniel Velásquez and Yunior Xavier Márquez Mata, a member of the Los Yimy criminal group, according to the report of the Urban Security Detachment (Desur) 71 of the GNB.

Also in the Mariño municipality, El Poblado sector, there was a seizure of weapons and cartridges. There they arrested three members of the criminal group Los Cuñados from whom they seized two pistols (Pietro Beretta 9 mm and Browning 380), three pistol chargers, fourteen 9 mm cartridges, four telephone sets and a black Hyundai Tucson vehicle, license plate AA23F30. .
The detainees are: Rubén Darío Rojas Ferrer (El Catire), José Gregorio Tillero Arévalo (El Boqui) and Pedro Jesús Cedeño Ferrer (Pan Quemao) who will be prosecuted for illegal possession of a firearm.
In Zulia, the military carried out three procedures with a balance of four detainees, according to military reports.
In Maracaibo, Community Integration sector, they seized a 9 mm pistol, a pistol charger and four 9 mm caliber cartridges.
Along with the material, they arrested two members of the criminal group Los Veloces: Wuilder Alcides Lameda Tua and Junior Edward Maza Acosta.
And in the La Ensenada sector, La Cañada de Urdaneta municipality, Zulia state, they seized a 9 mm pistol, a pistol charger, 47 9 mm caliber cartridges and two radio transmitters.
In that operation they captured Diego Antonio Frontado Cordero, says the report.
Finally, in the Las Amaleas sector, Jesús Enrique Lossada municipality, the military seized a 9 mm pistol, a pistol magazine, and 15 9 mm cartridges that were in the possession of Jefferson Andrés Machado, who was detained.
The procedures were notified to the Prosecutor’s Office.
