The Bolivarian National Guard captured two women classified as members of the criminal organization founded by José Antonio Márquez Morales (The Caracas), according to military sources.
The women are identified as Marielys Andreína Jayares and Celina Rosa García Fleire, who were captured in the El Despertar sector, Maracaibo (Zulia), in response to investigation order No. GNB.Conas-11-ADE-0426-23, by the crime of extortion.
Two telephone sets were seized from the women where chats with one of the victims were recorded, from whom they demanded a large sum in dollars in exchange for not attacking her physical integrity or that of her family nucleus, according to investigations.
And in the Guanipa Matos sector, Ildelfonso Vásquez parish, Maracaibo municipality, a member of the criminal organization El Caracas, identified as Jame Robert Rodríguez Machado, was killed.
The procedure was carried out by Cicpc agents attached to the Coordination of Investigations against Organized Crime, Brigade against Extortion Zulia.
The deceased had participated in a robbery against a commercial establishment located in the Zulia capital, a situation that was recorded by security cameras.
The El Caracas organization usually intimidates its victims by attacking them with explosive devices thrown at residences or businesses. This modality is also used by members of the group of Guillermo Boscán (El Yiyi), who lives in the United States. Both groups attributed attacks to two Zulian businesses, events that occurred on February 18.
Also in Guanipa Matos, the military carried out a patrol in response to a complaint made. In that operation they recovered a Bera BR-150 motorcycle, license plate AK0D49M, which had been stolen from its owner. There José Luis Salas Jiménez and Sindi Paola Padilla Ortiz were detained, who were handed over to the Public Ministry where they opened a file for the crime of extortion.
