Two passengers from Colombia were arrested in Táchira because they were allegedly involved in drug trafficking. On this occasion, the subjects were approached in the point of attention to the citizen, located in Vega de Aza (Táchira), where officials of the Bolivarian National Guard reviewed a public transport unit that came from Colombia.
During the action, 13 packages were seized of what appeared to be instant tea drinks, approximately 39 kilograms of the synthetic drug known as “Tusi” were hidden inside. Such procedure is described in a report published by the National Anti -Drug Superintendence (SUNAD). The detainees were delivered to the Public Ministry.
In another procedure, also in Táchira, 22 marijuana panels that added 11 kilos were confiscated. The official report says that this procedure began at the point of attention to the citizen located in Peracal where the GNB agents gave the voice high to a driver who fled on the San Antonio del Táchira-Rubio National Highway.
Subsequently, the military began a persecution and found the vehicle that, when inspected, the marijuana cargo and a cocaine panela (500 grams) hidden in the rear seat were located. The occupants of the vehicle fled.
