They carry out vaccination day for relatives and patients of the Oncology hospital

The nursing team of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), applied doses of vaccines against influenza, pneumococcus and against Covid-19 to patients and relatives of the National Oncology Hospital (ION) on a vaccination day, held this Monday 25.

“The objective of this vaccination day is to continue applying booster doses to patients and family members who are treated at this hospital, which demands great daily care,” said Irma Natis, supervisor of the continuous vaccination strategy.

Natis indicated that they seek to continue with the first and second booster vaccination of chronic patients; He added that what is sought is to continue with the patient application that was immunized in the Vasco Núñez room of the Hotel Panamá.

“Right now, we are applying doses against Covid-19, pneumococcus and influenza,” added Natis, who have about 300 doses to apply to patients and families.

For her part, Arcelina de Escobar, head of the Oncology Institute, indicated that patients are being vaccinated at the hospital every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; but she added that this week, a new vaccination day began for her relatives.

The Minsa informed the relatives and patients of the Oncology Hospital that patients who are undergoing some treatment must have the approval of their doctor, to access vaccination.
