The mayor of the National District, Carolina Mejia and the Minister of the Environment, Paino Henriquezcarried out this Wednesday a route through different vulnerable points of the capital, within the framework of preventive actions due to the passage of the Tropical Storm Melissawhich keeps the National District on red alert.

More than 1,500 brigade members deployed
As part of the measures adopted in response to the forecast of rainsthe mayor ordered the deployment of more than 1,500 brigade members to reinforce the work of cleaning, drainage and mitigation in high-risk sectors.

The mayor also reported that a route yesterday Tuesday through several ravines located in Los Platanitos, Manganagua and El Hoyo de Bate to verify the deep process of cleaning carried out to avoid complex situations in constituency one.
In that sense, he thanked the collaboration of the community leaders who have joined these efforts.
