The twelve members of the popular jury and the technical tribunal of the trial for the femicide of Nora Dalmasso, for which Marcelo Macarrón is being tried as instigator, participated today in an ocular inspection at the scene of the crime that occurred in November 2006 in the Villa Golf neighborhood of the Cordoba city of Río Cuarto.
The measure ordered by the technical court of the 1st Crime Chamber of Río Cuarto It was carried out in house number 627 on 5th Street in that private neighborhood, where they remained for more than an hour going through the different environments and the room where the victim was found murdered.
The first to arrive at home Around 9 in the morning, it was the defense attorneys Marcelo Brito, Cristian Ayán and Marángeles Mussolini, who did it aboard a gray truck and were received by Macarrón himself (62), who is still the owner of the property.
An hour later, in a specially hired privately owned minibus, the members of the popular jury arrivedwhile prosecutor Julio Rivero and the judges of the technical court were present in different private vehicles, in all cases guarded by motorized police officers.
“It was a tour so that we can all have a better understanding of the scene where the events took place”, Prosecutor Rivero said around noon at the exit of the visual inspection.
He also clarified that It is not a reconstruction of the fact, but a measure of recognition of the place, as spaces, income and expenses that allow comparison with the testimonial exhibitions and that, in this way, “contribute to a better evaluation of the evidence”.
Prosecutor Rivero told the press that the measure ordered by the technical court was “very interesting.”
Besides Carina del Valle Flores, domestic employee of the Dalmasso/Macarrón couple to the date of the crime, she was transferred in a police cell phone when she was summoned by the court and the parties to guide them inside the house, with the aim of identifying each space in the house and answering questions about the modifications made in the home, in addition to routines and family movements.
By order of the court, a police fence was placed about 20 meters from the entrance to Macarrón’s home, a cordon established specifically to prevent the entry of the press.
Who could be seen peeking out on several occasions was Pablo Radaelli, the first neighbor who entered Nora’s house and discovered Nora’s body in the bed of her daughter Valentina’s room, on the upper floor of the house.
After the visual inspection, all members linked to the trial they moved to the hearing room of the Courts of Río Cuarto where a 3D sketch was exhibited and projected a virtual simulation of the reconstruction of the fact, to then move on to Intermediate quarter until Tuesday of next week.
Tomorrow there will be no hearing for improvement works that are being carried out at the courthouse, they reported from the court.
Macarrón, the only defendant
The widower, a surgeon, faces this trial as the only defendant for the crime of “homicide qualified by the link, by treachery and by price or remuneration promise in an ideal contest”, which contemplates the sentence of life imprisonment.
The prosecutor’s accusation maintains that presumably a few months before November 25, 2006, Macarrón “in a criminal agreement with people not yet identified by the investigation, instigated the crime of his wife due to marital disagreements.”
It adds that while the defendant was in the city of Punta del Este participating in a golf tournament, between 8:00 p.m. on November 24, 2006 and 3:15 a.m. on the 25th, at least one person entered Nora’s house, in a neighborhood Villa Golf of the city of Río Cuarto, describes the accusation.
The murderer, “taking advantage of the victim’s defenselessness, waited for her to perform her pre-break routine and approached Nora Dalmasso once she was asleep in her daughter’s room, located on the upper floor of the house.”
In these circumstances and “fulfilling the criminal plan previously agreed upon with Macarrón and his minions, he grabbed her by the neck, exerting strong pressure with his hands, thus annulling any possibility of defense.”
