Investigations by the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc), assigned to the Southwest Homicide Investigation Coordination, managed to clarify the robbery and homicide of José Gregorio De Jesús Pérez Urdaneta (62), which occurred on December 14 in La Acequia, La Charanga 2 sector, Macarao parish, Libertador municipality of the Capital District.
In the procedure, José Miguel De Nobrega Rodríguez (21), Omar Alexander González Santana (22) and Franyer José González Santana (18) were captured, who were placed under the command of the 57th Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry of the metropolitan area of Caracas.
Technical investigations and interviews determined that while the victim was at his residence drinking alcoholic beverages, he was intercepted by De Nobrega, who, using his trust, entered to supposedly share. However, he had planned, together with the other two criminals and another person currently on the run, to seize some dollars that Pérez Urdaneta possessed.
Minutes later, De Nobrega allowed the other antisocials access. The victim resisted the robbery and was brutally beaten with fists, kicks and a bat. Furthermore, with a bottle spout they gave him multiple penetrating puncture wounds that caused his immediate death. The attackers fled with the money and a cell phone.
A bat, a bottle spout and three phones were collected as evidence.
The Cicpc reported that the fourth person responsible for the homicide fled to Colombia.
