Officials of the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (CICPC), attached to the Higuerote municipal delegation, achieved the capture of Ángel José Olivo González (34), responsible for the femicide of Betzabe Yulimar Díaz González (24).
The tragic event occurred on July 31 in the Palma Solo sector, Motoral Parish, Buroz Municipality of the Miranda State. The investigations began after the complaint of Betzabe’s relatives, who reported it as missing. The search for the police organism led to the finding of the victim’s lifeless body in a wooded area near his home.
The investigations showed that Ángel Olivo, who was a friend and co -worker of the victim, accompanied her to her residence on the day of the events.
During the journey, they held an argument after Betzabe refused to maintain a romantic relationship with the perpetrator. Given the refusal, Olivo took an aggressive attitude, physically submitted it and strangled her until she caused death. To divert the suspicions and evade justice, the subject showed several of the victim’s clothing in different places near the site of the event. Subsequently, he fled the place. To be aware of the investigations, the security agencies and family members were joined in the search work.
The arrest of the murderer was held on Bicentennial Avenue of Higuerote. He was placed at the order of the Public Ministry of the entity.
