The violent episode took place on January 19 when Palomino, in a drunken state, broke into the house of Paola Andrea Ospina Echeverry, mother of three children.
In the midst of a discussion, the aggressor attacked her with bites, starting part of the upper lip and causing multiple wounds on the face and body. In addition, he used fragments of glass bottles to attack it and, according to witnesses, tried to get a knife to continue the aggression, although he did not succeed.
The victim, mother of three children, had to undergo reconstructive surgery and still requires at least five additional interventions to treat serious injuries suffered.
The alleged aggressor wandered the streets
Palomino’s capture was completed thanks to media pressure and complaint public made by the victim, who asked for help to find the whereabouts of the aggressor.
Family members of Paola Andrea have demanded that the case do not go unpunished and just justice.
In addition, It was known that the detainee has a history of violence against other women, which reveals an aggressive behavior pattern.
The authorities have made Palomino available to the Attorney General’s Office, where the charges against him will be defined.
Palomino Guzmán could face charges for aggravated domestic violence and attempted homicide, although initially the possibility of imputing aggravated feminicide was considered due to the severity of the attack.
Family members of Paola Andrea demand that justice be done and that the aggressor receives a conviction according to the magnitude of the crime. They also denounced that man was under the effects of psychoactive substances and alcohol at the time of attack, which further aggravates the situation.
