Seven people linked to the theft at the branch of the National Bank of Panama located on 26th Street in the township of Calidonia, were apprehended through Operation Vault, carried out by the National Police and the Public Ministry. This theft was reported on August 15, 2022.
According to the authorities, in this operation they carried out 7 simultaneous raids in the districts of Chepo, December 24 and the district of San Miguelito, and the arrest of these seven people fully identified and linked to these events was achieved.
In addition, three vehicles were seized, including a panel, a motorcycle and a sedan car. They also seized technological equipment such as cell phones and laptops, various documents and cash.
Among those apprehended, there are four officials, three of these with functions within the National Bank of Panama.
