The 8 people were missing, kidnapped and murdered, the Army said.
It was confirmed that three alleged members of the First Armando Ríos Structure in Calamar, Guaviare were captured, among whom is alias Pirata or El Tuerto, allegedly responsible for the murder of eight social leaders and pastors who were previously kidnapped and disappeared in that same municipality in the month of April 2025.
Alias Pirate or El Tuerto, would have been in charge of summoning and transporting the eight people who disappeared on April 4 and 5 of this yearalong the Itilla River, to take them to an alleged court-martial by order of alias El Indio, to murder them and bury their bodies in a common grave later.
“These three subjects would be in charge of carrying out criminal intelligence to attack and affect the Public Force, they would also be responsible for transporting logistical, war, administration and food material, among others, Likewise, they were in charge of recruiting minors, making extortionate charges to merchants and ranchers in the municipality of San José del Guaviare.El Retorno and Calamar, from the department of Guaviare,” stated the Omega Task Force.
The accused had an arrest warrant for the crimes of conspiracy to commit aggravated crimes, manufacturing, trafficking and carrying of weapons, ammunition of restricted use exclusive to the Military Forces.
“After arduous intelligence work for more than seven months, in a joint, coordinated and inter-institutional operation, the Omega Task Force, of the National Army, the Colombian Aerospace Force, the National Police and the Attorney General’s Officethey managed to locate and capture three members of the support network of the First Armando Ríos Structurefrom the Manuel Marulanda Vélez Block,” said the Army.
The military operation was carried out in the municipality of Calamar, Guaviare, where the uniformed officers arrived to carry out the arrest warrants for alias Pirata or El Tuerto, alias Yucape and alias La Crespa, the military institution said.
