They capture a man who stabbed his ex-partner 17 times in Higüey

A man accused of inflicting 17 stab wounds on his ex partner in Higüey, leaving her for dead, was arrested reported by the National Police

Yordi Antonio Dominguez Belliard, 39, is accused of seriously injuring Carolina de los Santos Martínez, 35, and fleeing the victim’s jeep on January 17, 2022.

Domínguez Belliard was detained with arrest warrant No. 00220-2022, on the main street of the La Granja sector of the Diez de Cumayasa municipality, in La Romana.

According to the police, Domínguez Belliard admitted having committed the crime.

“At the time of his arrest, the suspect had with him a ZTE cell phone, a USB flash drive, RD$2,000.00 pesos, a US$50.00 bill, a key to his vehicle, Hyundai, Model Sonata Y20 in white, which left abandoned when he committed the act, the key to the victim’s vehicle, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which he said had left it abandoned at the Las Américas airport,” says the police press release.

Captain Ramón Robles Garrido, First Lieutenant Rafael Reyes Núñez and Corporal Alexander Vásquez Santana of the National Police participated in the arrest operation.
