The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) today announced the cancellation of the Supreme Resolution 001-2025-TR, through which Constantine Severo Vila Córdova had been designated as Executive President of Essalud.
The decision was made after inconsistencies were identified in the selection process, according to the Ministry through a statement released in its social networks.
The MTPE explained that, prior to the appointment, the corresponding filters were made, including a consultation on the public sector diligence platform. However, it was detected that an alleged requisition against Vila Córdova did not appear in the respective systems at the time of its designation.
This finding led to the decision to leave its appointment without effect, although no further details were required about the nature of the requisition.
Supreme Resolution 001-2025-TR had been published today in the Official Gazette The Peruvianreplacing María Elena Aguilar, who resigned recently. With this decision, the position of ESSALUD executive is vacant again, while the MTPE evaluates the next steps to cover the position.
The Ministry reiterated its commitment to transparency and rigorous selection processes, ensuring that it will act with strict adherence to current regulations.
