They cancel the buffet of the scandal to all the congressmen

They remove buffet from congressmen and now they will have to pay for their own lunches

Now they will spend it like any worker in Peru, who must pay for his breakfast, lunch and dinner with his own. Yesterday, at a press conference held by the administrative staff of the Pablo Noriega, General Director of Administration, announced that there will no longer be a buffet for parliamentarians and that each one will have to assume the cost of their own food.

He acknowledged that this decision was taken only because the press uncovered the scandal. “After the report, the food policy that was presented during the parliamentary sessions will change. As a result of the analysis that has been carried out to date, Human Resources has been informed that the delivery of the buffet is cancelled; but I want to make it clear that the report stated that S/180 was paid and it is not true,” said Noriega.

And he added: “As of the date, the dining room is being asked for a varied menu, with different nutrition topics, but that will be covered by the user and not by the budget of Congress, not even in parliamentary sessions. ”.

But is it the only place where State money is abused with tricks of this type? Obviously not. Ministries, autonomous organizations and other State powers could also be incurring the same and that is where the Comptroller General of the Republic should also put the spotlight on.

Noriega also referred to the rental of the parking lot and assured that this place is not for congressmen, but for the administrative staff.

He also assured that this service will continue and that, compared to other garages -which have a rate of S/4 an hour-, this one costs Congress S/ 1.10 an hour.

They denounce Williams

The law firm’s case has reached such an extreme that the Cajamarca lawyer Javier Adrianzén Carreño decided to file a criminal complaint for collusion against the president of Congress, José Williams Zapata. As detailed to Peru21, he filed the complaint because “it is outrage over food waste; the indications that a certain company has been favored means that there is possibly talk of collusion and the congressman will have to be investigated by the Prosecutor of the Nation”.
