Officials from the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command in conjunction with members of the Bolivarian National Guard and in coordination with the Cojedes Combat Rapid Reaction Unit (Urra) killed a subject nicknamed “Broken Helmet” in the José Félix Ribas municipality, Guárico state.
Within the framework of Operation Zaraza, the uniformed officers arrived at the La Ceiba sector, on the premises of the Guamachito farm yesterday morning, in order to locate members of the “El Ignacio” gang, a cell of the Tren del Llano.
In the middle of the operation there was an exchange of shots, where 18-year-old Miguel David Santaella González was mortally wounded. He was helped and taken to the Pedro del Corral hospital, where he died.
Detectives from the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps, Zaraza municipal delegation, began the investigations and collected evidence.
It is noteworthy that “Casco Roto” was actively wanted by the security forces and accused of different crimes such as extortion, kidnapping and homicide.
On December 31, Manuel Moyetones (Mandarria), second in command of the Tren del Llano criminal structure, was killed during a legal intervention procedure carried out by the military in the vicinity of Sosa, a rural sector of the Julián Mellado municipality (El Sombrero), the heart of the Guárico state.
In that operation, Gabriel Magallanes (El Pólvora) and a fourth subject were also killed.
