A few days after the Cabinet Hannibal Torres seek the confidence of Parliament, in various parts of the country a march has been called in favor of the presidential vacancy against Pedro Castillo, after more details are uncovered about cases of corruption in the Government Palace.
In regions such as Junín and Huánuco, the call for the march is this Saturday, March 5, in the afternoon, just days before the questioned ministerial cabinet, the fourth in 7 months of government, will request the confidence of the Congress of the Republic.
On the other hand, and on the opposite side, the Popular and Magisterial Political Party issued a statement rejecting the vacancy of Pedro Castillo and the complaints against him, stating that they are trying to “obstruct governance.”
Scandals in the Government
The cases of corruption of officials reached the Government Palace after the statements of Karelim López, the lobbyist who would have interfered in tenders of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, which until recently was led by Juan Silva, who resigned on February 28.
On the other hand, there is speculation about the suitability of Pedro Castillo’s ministers of state, the most outstanding case being perhaps that of Hernán Condori, head of the Ministry of Health, who promoted the supposed medicine known as Agua Arracimada.
The Medical Association has requested Condori’s resignation, since his presence has generated a series of resignations in the Ministry of Health.
