The Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD) reported on the call for the sixteenth edition (XVI) of the Journalism Award about the National Industry George Arzeno Brugal. The jobs should revolve around the themes of innovation, sustainability and illicit trade.
These themes can refer to any of the subsectors of the industrial sector Dominican, such as food and beverages, plastics, paper, textiles, mines, energy, steel, cement and other construction products, medicines, personal and household care products, tobacco, among others.
He prestigious award seeks to recognize and reward journalists who, through their reports and articles, contribute to the development, productivity and competitiveness of the industrial sector and Dominican agroindustrial.
The AIRD awards three categories
Diaryism economic-industrialreferring to the daily coverage of issues related to national industry; reports research, jobs in depth on key topics for national industryand journalistic series that deal with a set of stories that address various aspects of the same topic. Each category has an endowment of 500,000 pesos.
The jobs must be submitted to the AIRD no later than January 31, 2025 and have been published between January 1 and December 31, 2024.
The selection of the winners It is carried out by a jury made up of various personalities linked to the business and academic world. The complete award rules are available to download from the AIRD portal: www.aird.org.do and can also be requested from the institution.

- Sustainability: identify good practices adopted by the industrial sector in matters of sustainability environmental and social, providing context and data on the topic, as well as its impact.
- Innovation: success stories, impact and opportunities in terms of innovation in the local industry, as well as comparisons of development with other sectors of the Dominican economy.
- Illicit trade: challenges, opportunities and progress in the fight against this scourge that affects fair competition and threatens public health.
