The ashes of cremated disused flags were buried during a symbolic and significant act, carried out by the governor of the province of Panama, Carla García, who at the same time gave recognition to the national head of Volunteers of the National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC ), Yasser Del Cid, for the work carried out by this institution to care for people affected by disasters or accidents.
García explained that they invited SINAPROC as an honorary witness, for the work they have always done, to safeguard the lives of people who have suffered the ravages of nature.
For his part, Del Cid expressed his satisfaction at this recognition, and highlighted the commitment of SINAPROC, through its thousands of volunteers, to go the extra mile and work with vocation. “We, the volunteers, give it all without expecting anything in return,” he said.
