They bring health services to more than a thousand people in San Miguelito

The San Miguelito Health Region, in conjunction with the Technical Board of this district, held a health fair called through the “Plan Colmena”, where close to a thousand people of all ages benefited from health services, among others. It was addressed to the population of the corregimiento Arnulfo Arias.

This strategy “Plan Colmena” led by President Laurentino Cortizo and the Office of the First Lady, the Minister of Health Luis Francisco Sucre, local governments, the Ministry of Health, the Urraca Valley Health Center, is a government initiative that seeks to respond in the short and medium term, combat extreme poverty and reduce social inequality.

Valentín Corrales, a pediatrician from Minsa, pointed out that among the services provided on this day are general medicine, pediatrics, vaccination (adults, children and Covid-19, blood pressure measurement, nutrition, Social Work, Laboratory (HIV, and Glucose Adults, Dentistry (Evaluation and Orientation), delivery of medicines (Pharmacy), Veterinary Medicine (vaccination and deworming of pets), Health Promotion.

Dr. Corrales reiterated to the population to go to the health centers to receive attention and made special emphasis on children under 5 years of age who must be immunized to fight influenza since cases have been occurring and the same way in adults.

Prior to the activity, the regional health director of San Miguelito Yaritzel Ríos indicated that the purpose of the activity is to adopt regional strategies to address the conditions of multidimensional poverty and social vulnerability of the most needy communities in this district.
