Two individuals who planned an assault to obtain money and continue consuming liquor were sentenced to 17 years, 7 months and 22 days in prison for the crime of aggravated robbery in the city of Tarma.
The event occurred in the early morning of October 10, 2024, after the now sentenced, Elías Quincho and Lionel Quispe, along with a teenager, ran out of money while drinking at a hotel. According to the tax investigation, they agreed to go out into the streets to assault passers-by; However, when they did not find victims, they entered a lodging located in the Amazonas area.
Inside the establishment they violently overpowered the receptionist and seized S/ 1,200 that was in the cash register, and then fled in the direction of Jirón Huancayo.
The security cameras allowed the identification of those involved, who were captured by police officers from the Tarma police station in coordination with the Public Ministry. Both were recognized by the victim and admitted their participation in the crime.
In an appeal hearing, the Superior Criminal Prosecutor’s Office managed to confirm the sentence imposed in the first instance. Meanwhile, the teenager involved received a two-year confinement measure in a youth center.
