The councilor of the Frente de Todos of the Santa Cruz town of Perito Moreno Alejandra Burgos denounced that she was attacked when she was shot by a compressed air gun in the car in which she was traveling during a march in rejection of the assassination attempt on Vice President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.
The incident occurred at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, when a caravan was developing through that town, and the car in which Burgos was traveling, a Ford EcoSport, suffered the impact of a compressed air projectile on the rear window, according to the newspaper La Opinion Austral. of Santa Cruz.
Burgos was in the vehicle along with some fellow militants who were demonstrating against the attack suffered by the former president, but no one was injured by this event.
“On Friday during the caravan we were carrying out demonstrations in the square for the fallen of Malvinas and then a caravan in support of democracy and repudiating the events that had happened with Vice President Cristina. We were conducting a caravan in a peaceful and quiet way. On one of the main avenues, when I made a U-turn in the van, I received a shot of compressed air,” the councilwoman told the newspaper Tiempo Sur.
“The truth is that we got a big scare with our colleagues, but luckily we are all fine and nothing happened to us,” the mayor said tonight in statements to Télam.
Burgos added that from his place in politics he will continue working to “betting on dialogue, valuing people and making it clear that violence is never the way.”
Given this fact, the national senator Ana María Ianni (of the Frente de Todos por Santa Cruz) expressed on Facebook her “complete solidarity with our councilwoman Alejandra Burgos, from Perito Moreno, for the bad timing that the haters and violent unscrupulous showed towards her person in a demonstration where love and social peace was the slogan of this day”.
“We cannot allow these kinds of episodes, you can think differently, debate ideas, but violence can never be the way,” said the senator.
In that sense, he added: “Force Ale and all those who unfortunately endure these acts although they will not bend us in our convictions”
As a result of this incident, a police complaint was filed and the court of the town of Las Heras intervened.
“The violent aggression suffered by Councilor Alejandra Burgos de Perito Moreno reflects the materialization of hate speech and consequently strengthens the call of the Governor (Alicia Kirchner). That call summons us to be mobilized and alert; united with our people Embracing Democracy is taking care of Cristina”, pointed out the Front for the Victory of Santa Cruz.
