The national deputy for the Frente de Todos (FdT) Vanesa Siley affirmed this Friday that the Impeachment Committee of the Lower House “advances very firmly and solvency” in the process that is followed by the members of the Supreme Court of Justice and considered that “majorities conform in many ways” when referring to the possibilities that the accusation has of being approved in the precinct.
“We have been advancing very firmly and solvency,” said the legislator, also a member of the Council of the Magistracy, in statements to AM530 radio.
In this sense, he held that “This Thursday the admissibility of the impeachment was votedwhich means starting next week the investigation process formally begins.”
“Next Thursday we will have all the evidence in view” and “then a schedule will come where we will call the witnesses, we will do all the informative part”
“The 14 complaints against (Horacio) Rosatti, (Carlos) Rosenkrantz, (Juan Carlos) Maqueda and (Ricardo) Lorenzetti (the four magistrates of the highest court) were admitted. In this way, many speculations that were made by from the press of (Héctor) Magneto (Ceo of Grupo Clarín), which is the one that leads the members of Together for Change (JxC) and lowers their line”.
In this sense, he affirmed that “what was speculated in these media is that it was not going to be done (the admissibility of the impeachment) for the four judges, but for three and that Lorenzetti was going to be left out.”
On the other hand, before a consultation on whether the ruling party has the necessary number to approve the accusation against the magistrates of the Court in the compound, the leader of the union that represents judicial workers estimated that “majorities are built in many ways” .
“Majorities are built by militating and holding elections, because the majority in Congress is determined by the people with their vote,” he said.
“Now, we have what we have and we will see what we can add in the 2025 elections and legislatures. The accusatory opinion is valid for three years. The people are the ones who will define whether we should continue with this Court or not. If they vote for Together for Change or for the right, which are establishing themselves as official defenders of the Court, voting for them will not change the judiciary. Voting for our political space, yes,” Siley remarked.
The deputy also referred to the activity of the commission, noting that “next Thursday we will have all the evidence in view” and “then a schedule will come where we will call the witnesses, we will do all the informative part” .
In this context, he maintained that the opposition “is absolutely validating this process and now they are presenting evidence, they are participating in the process.”
