The union maintained that, for example, in the case of the work via Evitamiento Chimbote – which consists of a 40 kilometer highway from Chimbote (Áncash) to Guadalupito (La Libertad) – which has been completed for a few months, today it is ready to be received by the MTC and inaugurated in December.
“This is a work considered one of the 10 projects that will support the economic reactivation of the country, because it will positively impact development, even more so in light of all the commercial needs that will arise around the Chancay Megaport, so its benefits are multiple at the national level,” said the union.
In a statement, the union stated that, once the aforementioned project is inaugurated, time and costs will be reduced in passenger travel, transportation of food, minerals and merchandise. Likewise, he specified that pedestrian safety will be increased by reducing the high traffic flow; and, consequently, there will be less pollution thanks to the vehicular decongestion that the use of said work will generate.
“Avoiding delays in infrastructure processes will generate confidence in national and foreign investors. In addition, the constitutional duty of the State to develop the country in infrastructure and promote private investment regulated in articles 58 and 59 of the Political Constitution of Peru will be fulfilled,” he concluded.
