Jaime Jesús Ruíz Bernal, father of Jaime Andrés Ruiz Salamanca, currently deprived of liberty, asks the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) to review such a situation.
Ruiz Bernal explained that his son was the victim of an alleged extortion by the prosecutor Mariángelis Araque Díaz, who is deprived of liberty due to that alleged crime of corruption.
” I am obliged to address public opinion, the media and the Supreme Court of Justice, to publicly denounce the deep injustice and procedural deviation that characterizes this case, “says Ruiz Bernal is a communication sent.
” It is a strictly civil conflict, related to contractual and business relations, which was illegally transferred to the criminal scope, in frank violation of the jurisprudence established by the Supreme Court of Justice itself, which has warned against the use of the criminal justice system as a tool of pressure, intimidation or judicial terrorism, ” explained the father of the detainee referring to the original issue by which his child was denounced, It is, the acquisition of a property whose first owner appeared time later claiming as his property that had gone through several sales processes, according to the file.
” The most serious thing is that the prosecutor who promoted the apprehension of my son, Mariángeles Araque Díaz, is currently detained for alleged acts of corruption directly linked to this cause. In the file there are documented facts that reveal how, through an intermediary, my son was required to pay ten thousand dollars ($ 10,000) in exchange for procedural favors, including the selective return of seized assets without a court order, ” ” said Ruiz Bernal.
In the denunciation document, Ruíz Bernal said that the arrest of his son occurs in the middle of an inspection practiced by the prosecutor Araque Díaz, who also seized that day 13 vehicles belonging to Ruiz Salamanca customers which runs a company specialized in shielding systems.
” Despite having filed formal complaints, documentary evidence, expertise and communications that support everything that happened, and if all the elements that justified the detention were distorted, my son is still imprisoned, ” Ruiz Bernal said.

” I request from the Supreme Court of Justice, as the highest authority of the Venezuelan Justice System, to act in defense of their own sentences, the legality, due process, and the fundamental rights of a citizen who is being the victim of an institutional chain of abuses and omissions. There is no justice as long as an innocent is imprisoned in a vitiated process of origin and led by a prosecutor today after bars, ” he concluded.
