Relatives of social leader Yenny Barrios, detained for more than 43 days in Barquisimeto, demand that the Attorney General allow urgent medical care and access to chemotherapy to treat her lymphatic cancer.
The social leader of Lara, Yenny Barrios, has been detained for more than 43 days at the headquarters of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) in Barquisimeto after being detained by the Maduro government in the days after the presidential elections of 28J.
Barrios suffers from lymphatic cancer and underwent surgery hours before being arrested. Relatives report that they have not been allowed access to chemotherapy.
His said, Diego Sierralta, shared a video on social networks in which he addressed Prosecutor Tarek William Saab so that Barrios can access proper treatment.

He commented that in the last two weeks he has sent the documents to different authorities in Caracas, but, although they have claimed they have been received, he has not received favorable responses for his mother’s health. Previously, Sierralta reported that they had to take her mother from the confinement site to the Antonio María Pineda University Hospital, where they only inject her to calm the pain, but as long as she does not undergo chemotherapy treatment, it is not possible for her to improve.
