After two accidents were recorded in which ceiling fans fell off in classrooms of educational establishments, in the province of Chiriquí, leaving three students injured, the Regional Director of the Ministry of Education (Meduca), Raquel Castillo, requested a detailed inspection of the school structure.

According to Castillo, there were two fortuitous accidents registered, the first at the Victoriano Lorenzo school, where a student was slightly injured, and another registered at the Nuestra Señora de Los Ángeles school, which left two students with more serious injuries.

The regional director of Meduca said that the three students were given medical attention and that they await reports from the health authorities, since they follow up on how those affected feel after the accidents.

He said that an inspection and evaluation has been carried out in the schools to avoid similar accidents in the future, but he asked the parents to make the insurance payments for the students so that they are protected.
