According to the report, Trigozo’s advisor was imprisoned in the Miguel Castro Castro prison for carrying out a Molotov cocktail attack against the APRA party.
When asked why she hired Pasquel Cárdenas, Trigozo said: “Well, I have known him for many years, I only know that he is a friend of my family, and now, he is working here. “I cannot judge anyone, we all have the right to vindicate ourselves.”
According to Panorama, Modesto Robles, advisor to Paul Gutiérrez of the Magisterial Block, is also linked to Sendero Luminoso and Movadef.
They are not the only advisors with a shady past. In November 2023, Perú21 revealed that three workers from the Magisterial Bloc bench—Luis Dueñas, Raúl Vílchez and Modesto Robles—appear as adherents in the Movadef registry, which according to the recent ruling of the Supreme Court is the same as Sendero Luminoso.
