Mexico City, Mexico.- Dairon Quiala Artilez, 21, is missing since last Monday in Havana, his family denounced on social networks.
The young man, a resident of La Güinera, left his home and did not contact anyone again. His phone has been turned off for five days. Which worries his relatives even more, who affirm that the young man did not try to leave the country in a boat, nor had he had this type of behavior before.
“The family members are devastated. This is a pain that is not wished on anyone. Please if anyone knows of him please let me know. You don’t play with this,” a user identified as Kirenia Lescai.
Relatives have requested that any information be contacted at the numbers: 51122209 or 58015078.
The case has already been reported to the police but so far they have not located the young man, nor is there new information about it.
In general, it is recommended to publish missing person alerts as soon as possible as there is a better chance that they will be found safely. The Cuban state does not implement any mechanism to make visible the cases of disappeared persons, not even if they are children, as the Amber alert used in many countries. That is why citizens go to social networks looking for help, although it is not always successful.
In several recently reported cases people absent from home appeared safelybut in others unfortunately they had a fatal outcome.
Last month they found the lifeless body of the Camagüey taxi driver Guperto Rafael Cánovas, whom they murdered to steal his car.
In the same province, Yudel López Álvarez was also killed, who was reported missing on February 1 and later found lifeless.
The man, the father of two teenagers, was murdered to steal his cell phone and the rickshaw with which he worked. Liuty Álvarez, a relative of the victim, wrote on his Facebook profile: “He was found dead in Camagüey by two scum, two rotten souls without a heart, without feelings, without knowing that they were leaving a destroyed family.”
