The Victims Foundation recovering memories and building roads in Colombia (Virmec) sent a letter to the presidential candidate Abelardo de la Espriella in which he makes a curious request about his campaign.
In the letter, these organizations in the south of the country and representatives of victims of the Nile massacre They ask De la Espriella to appoint the representative Miguel Polo Polo as his vice presidential formula for the 2026 elections.

The document was signed by indigenous representatives, peasants and social leaders of the department of Cauca, who identified themselves as victims of the armed conflict.
The signatories of the letter indicated: “We manifest our unconditional support to Dr Miguel Polo Polo as a vice presidential formula”. As they explained, their request is due to the lack of social representation that, they said, characterized them the last governments.
