Two women members of a gang specialized in extortion were captured in the Paraíso 2 Norte sector, Simón Rodríguez municipality (El Tigre), Anzoátegui state.
The procedure was carried out by members of the National Anti-extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) attached to the Orinoco Oil Belt, who identified the detainees as Milagros Jesús Moreno and María Elena Zapata de Severo.
The women were denounced by victims who were demanding high sums in dollars in exchange for not attempting against their lives, according to file MP-162665-2022.
At the time of being detained, the soldiers seized the women’s cell phones, which, when analyzed by emptying, the calls made to the victims were observed, according to the report.
The Prosecutor charged them with the crime of extortion.
