Agents of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) detained two subjects on the banks of the Apure River and seized 25 panels of drugs.
Such information was aired on the social networks of the Secretariat of Citizen Security of the Apure state. There it is specified that the procedure occurred in the Cueva del Sapo sector, San Fernando de Apure municipality.
The detainees are identified as José Gabriel Pulido Tovar (44) and Delbi Antonio Mejias (40). These people were preparing to board a canoe-type boat, which was searched by PNB officials assigned to the Anti-Drug Division, who located two bags, in one of which there were 20 panels of marijuana that weighed 10 kilos. In another bag, the agents found 5 panels of cocaine that totaled 5 kilos.
“It is not ruled out, due to the modality and place of the seizure, that structured groups dedicated to the illegal activity of drug trafficking are activating new routes for the illicit transit and distribution of drugs,” says the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Apure.
Last Thursday there was also an anti-drug procedure in Apure. In that case, the operation was carried out in the Los Salados sector, Pedro Camejo municipality (San Juan de Payara). At that site they located 20 panels of marijuana weighing 10 kilos 600 grams.
Agents assigned to the Anti-Drug Division of the PNB and military personnel from the Regional Anti-Drug Intelligence Unit (Uria 35) of the Zone Command 35 of the Bolivarian National Guard participated in that operation.
Mule coming from Colombia. In another incident, GNB officials detained a woman in Vega de Aza (Táchira) who, when checked, admitted carrying portions of drugs on her body. The woman was taken to the nursing area of the Citizen Service Point managed by the GNB and they performed an assisted medical procedure that resulted in the expulsion of 72 fingers, which weighed 855 grams of cocaine, the report says.
While in the 5 de Julio sector, located in Coro (Falcón), PNB agents arrested four individuals dedicated to drug trafficking. A panel of cocaine and a motorcycle were seized from these people.
