The Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) detained three subjects in different procedures and seized a total of 60 panels of drugs from them, according to reports.
One of the procedures was carried out at the Citizen Service Point located in La Lagunita, Libertador municipality (Tocuyito), Carabobo state.
At that site, the military seized 37 panels of marijuana that weighed 20 kilos and 85 grams, according to a report from Detachment 411 of the GNB. The stash was brought in a fuel tank of a gold Grand Marquis license plate 416A7AY where they were also transporting two wrappers of cocaine.
Once the existence of the shipment was verified, the military proceeded to arrest the occupants of the vehicle identified as Jorge Luis Ríos Vega and Jean Carlos Berrios Vega, who came from Paraguaipoa (Zulia) bound for Valencia (Carabobo), the report says.
In Zulia, Caño Seco sector, Guajira municipality, they carried out another anti-drug operation. In this case, military officials seized 23 panels of marijuana which totaled a weight of 12 kilos 426 grams, says the report from Detachment 112 of the GNB.
The load of drugs was transported inside a sack carried on a motorcycle without a license plate, whose driver Richys Guillén Semprún Montiel was detained.
The detainees were handed over to the Public Ministry where they opened files for illicit drug trafficking.
