The assistant goalkeeper of a kindergarten of the Buenos Aires party of La Matanza was arrested accused of having sexually abused a girl from that institution, in which last Tuesday there were riots when the parents went to complain to the directors that the suspect was dismissed from his post.
The incident occurred in Garden No. 1,000, located at 2218 Solom, in the Nicole neighborhood, in the town of Virrey del Pino, where last Tuesday afternoon a group of families showed up to demand the expulsion of the doorman who, according to complaints , would have abused at least two girls aged 4 and 5and in this context incidents occurred.
On Wednesday morning, the chief district inspector 3 of La Matanza, Karina Mattivi, appeared at the school and reported that at the moment they have a complaint for the sexual abuse of a girl.
“The assistant denounced on Thursday was preventively removed from the institution and for now we have a complaint from a girl, while the administrative process continues, he informed the media present at the garden gate on Wednesday.
In turn, the district chief affirmed that they are “working hard on reconnecting families with the school and we anticipate that it would open its doors tomorrow”.
“The school is listening attentively, with support from the entire educational community,” said Mattivi, and regarding the functions of the accused, he explained that the man has been working in the garden for four years and that “he has cleaning tasks, care of the door, kitchen and snack performance”.
In turn, the educational official stated that the ongoing investigation is “to determine if the actions that are in that complaint are like that.”
“For this reason, on Friday, inspectors carry out the corresponding actions with all the teachers, with interviews and visual inspection, to determine what was happening in the afternoon,” he said.
However, around this noon, a group of mothers he returned to the garden gate to express his repudiation to the sayings of the district chief.
“We demand that the director and teachers be arrested, they covered up this man. How is a teacher going to send a 3-year-old girl to the bathroom with a man?” They asked the press.
Another mother stated: “What the municipal inspector declared is all lies, they are all accomplices, we cannot allow this to open tomorrow and have normal classes with the children. They all have to change, the teachers, inspectors, everyone.”
“As a teacher, you cannot not realize how long a girl takes in the bathroom. We have to ask for justice, how can it be that the police repress a mother in this way?” They added about the police response to the protest of the past Tuesday.
According to police sources, it all started three weeks ago when a 26-year-old woman, the mother of one of the kindergarten students, filed the complaint at the Women and Family Police Stationfrom Virrey del Pino, against the goalkeeper identified as Carlos Matone.
Meanwhile, last Tuesday the positive results of sexual abuse were known, that were determined by the legal medical body, which led to the claim at the garden gate.
During the demonstration, which lasted eight hours, members of the Buenos Aires Police intervened when a group of families began to stone the front of the school, and even entered its interior, where excesses and destruction occurred.
On the other hand, police sources confirmed that the accused man was arrested at his home located in the Buenos Aires town of González Catán, from the same party, and that he is available to the prosecutor on duty, accused of the crime of aggravated sexual abuse.
