Agents of the Bolivarian National Police, assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division, had a confrontation with individuals who had previously attacked the offices of the Public Ministry and the Cicpc located in Villa de Cura, Aragua, with rifles.
According to police sources, the attackers are members of the Los Chevrolet gang, who at the time of the armed confrontation were in the Malpica del Toro sector, Ezequiel Zamora municipality (Villa de Cura) of the central entity.
At the site, the officials proceeded to capture Nelybeth Saray Ruíz Martínez (22), a partner of one of the leaders of the criminal organization. This woman was injured in one of her lower limbs.
Ruíz Martínez was carrying a bag where he kept a hand grenade and 200 rifle ammunition, material that was seized in that proceeding. Agents also recovered a 2010 Kia Spoprtage truck, license plates AC642TV.
Members of that criminal organization fired at the headquarters of the Public Ministry and Cicpc in the early hours of last Saturday. At the end of that attack, the officials collected five bullet shells corresponding to a 7.62 rifle, fourteen AR-15 5.56 caliber rifle shells and twenty 9mm caliber shells, the sources explained.
