
The Human Rights Committee of the opposition party Vente Venezuela (VV), led by María Corina Machadosaid Sunday about The arrest of political activist Lewis Mendozain the Trujillo state.
Through X, VV indicated that Nicolás Maduro government officials arrested Mendoza on Saturday night. From a day earlier, he said, agents of the National Antiextory and Kidnapping Command, of the National and State Police “were installed around the residence” of the activist.
“After more than 30 hours there, they kidnapped him. So far his whereabouts are unknown and under what conditions is,” The committee pointed out.
VV warned that there are already nine people arrested in Trujillo since September 10, so he demanded the “cessation of persecution and immediate freedom of all of them.”

“Likewise, we urge the denunciations of threats and harassment to investigate, and ensure that any action is carried out according to constitutional guarantees and the framework of internationally recognized human rights,” JEP urged in his account in X.
