Four individuals who produced fuel in a clandestine refinery were arrested in the La Y sector, Mara municipality (San Rafael de El Moján), Zulia, according to military sources.
In that place they located a clandestine laboratory and seized 4,780 liters of gasoline, stored in 26 containers, according to reports from the Rural Command Detachment 11-5 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), to which we had access.
They also found 400 meters of plastic hose; 880 liters of light crude stored in four plastic containers with a capacity of 220 each and an Empire Horsen II motorcycle, plate AA0N16P.
The four detainees in that place were registered as Ángel Albenis Ortega González, Leonelbis Gregorio Pineda Palmar, Manuel José Villalobos González and Luis Naudi Osorio Devis, members of the Los Meleanes criminal group, dedicated to the clandestine production of fuel.

In that same municipality of Zulia, the military located another clandestine center for artisanal fuel production. In that sense, the GNB agents seized 440 liters of crude oil, stored in two metal containers and two artisan ovens, says the report.
And in the El Muelle sector, Caroní municipality (Ciudad Guayana), Bolívar, they arrested four individuals allegedly involved in fuel smuggling.
A Pietro Beretta pistol, caliber 9 mm, serial 023656MC, with a magazine containing 15 cartridges, was seized from the detainees. They also seized a balajú-type boat, 200 HP outboard motors and 440 liters of gasoline.
Those captured in this procedure are: Jhorman José Lozada Ramos, Yhonny Robins Wells, Roniel José Ortiz Díaz and José Augusto Gómez, members of the criminal organization Los Barranquiteros.
Another anti-fuel smuggling procedure was carried out by members of GNB Detachment 401 in the Tarias sector, Veroes municipality (Farriar), Yaracuy.
In the aforementioned place, the military retained 1,300 liters of gasoline, stored in 13 plastic containers of different sizes; four empty plastic containers with capacities of 200 liters each; a telephone set; 160 meters of hose and a Toyota Starlet, license plate MAT-98F. All this material was in the possession of Alfredo Adán González Rodríguez, who was arrested.
The military inspection was carried out in response to a complaint filed by representatives of the Integral Security Directorate of Petróleos de Venezuela, due to the illegal extraction of fuel presented in Yaracuy.
Last week, nine Yaracuy state police officers were arrested for extracting gasoline from a pipeline located in the Los Horcones sector of that entity. Four of them were arrested in Sarare (Lara), when they were transporting 440 liters of gasoline in a police patrol.
