Military officials raided a property located in La Tahona, Baruta municipality (Miranda) and seized 475 cartridges of different calibers, among others, according to police sources.
In the procedure, Jesús Alfredo Itriago was arrested, who served as head of the Cicpc drug division. Itriago has been investigated by the Public Ministry for two years, according to file MP-98532-22 that is about illicit drug trafficking and capital legitimation.
As part of that investigation, agents assigned to the Regional Anti -Drug Intelligence Unit (Uria) 43 carried out the aforementioned search this Sunday where four firearms seized: two guns (Pietro Beretta 9 mm, Five Seven Caliber 5.7 × 28 mm); a .38 revolver and a 12 caliber shotgun.
They were also seized three gun chargers and the 475 cartridges: 404 5.7x28mm caliber; 56 nine mm and fifteen .38 calibers, all without percussing, says the report to which we had partial access.
In the property they also located a GPS, a tablet, a signal detector, two telephone equipment, as well as six vehicles: Toyota Pick-Up Plate A09DC7M; TOYOTA PREVIOUS PLATE AI537JG; TOYOTA PREVIOUS PLATE AD204XV; Toyota Corolla Ak136Ma plaque; Toyota Corolla, AAE498PV and Chevrolet OpTra Plate AFF69Z.
The Public Ministry was notified of the procedure.
On September 29, 2020, the United States Prosecutor’s Office reported that it offered a reward of 5 million dollars to those who contributed information that led to the arrest of Jesús Alfredo Itriago, who has an open process in that nation.
