Members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) detained five members of criminal groups from whom they seized 101 cartridges of different calibers, among other materials, according to military sources.
One of the detainees is Gustavo Alberto Piñero (El Transportador), a member of the AK 47 Wilmer Bachiller group, captured in Cocorote (Yaracuy). They seized a 7.62 × 51 mm caliber light automatic rifle, with its respective charger, 15 cartridges of the same caliber and a Cherry license plate AK518TA vehicle.
In the Las Uvas sector, Altagracia de Orituco (Guárico), the military captured Sergio Aparicio Carias who was carrying a tear gas device, which was confiscated.
While in the Vicente de Paula, Acarigua, Portuguesa sector, the agents seized a 7.65 mm pistol, two chargers, 20 9 mm cartridges, sixteen 12 cartridges and a Ford Fiesta license plate AB698EW, whose driver, José Medina Escobar, was detained .
And in Santa Lucía (Miranda), a GNB commission arrested Jorge Luis Solórzano Aquino, who was holding a tear gas device.
Finally, at the checkpoint located in Vega de Aza (Táchira), the military arrested Leonardo Daniel Márquez, who was a passenger carrying 50 9mm cartridges.
The detainees will be prosecuted for illegal possession of war material, among other crimes.
