A 16-year-old teenager was arrested after confessing her participation in the drowning death of her two-year-old cousin.
Preliminary reports stated that the incident occurred in Tinaquillo (Cojedes) last Tuesday when scientific police agents lifted the body of the two-year-old girl, which was submerged in a water tank.
The incident was originally considered an accident. But when conducting interviews with the family environment, the detectives spoke with a cousin of the girl who confessed that she had drowned the minor because she was allegedly mistreating a dog she owned.
