Members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) seized 26 drug panels in the Punta de Piedra customs office, according to military sources.
The shipment was made up of 14 panelas of cocaine (10 kilos 280 grams) and 12 of marijuana (3 kilos 220 grams), according to the report.
The panels were hidden in a double-deep compartment located in the front part of a blue Mercury Grand Marquis vehicle, license plate 4455A4AB, driven by José Luis Planchardt, who was arrested.
The man was traveling from Maracaibo (Zulia), bound for Caracas. He was handed over to the Public Ministry where they opened a file for illicit drug trafficking.
