A 27-year-old man was arrested this Tuesday after he evaded several police checkpoints on Route 9 for 12 kilometers. He hit a policeman and damaged patrol cars.
The police were following the vehicle Fiat Mobi white by route 9, in the direction of Montevideo.
After several controls evaded, reaching kilometer 86, the vehicle collided with a Highway Police motorcycle. The cash that handled it lost control and hit a billboard. She fell to the ground, sustaining injuries that resulted in multiple trauma.
The car continued another five kilometers where the police managed to stop it. The vehicle has firearm shots.
According to police information, the vehicle was reported for misappropriation, in the 9th sectional.
The suspect has a valid driver’s license. It remained at the disposal of the prosecution, in the base of investigations.
