Officials of the Criminal Investigation Service of the Autonomous Municipal Police Institute of Maracaibo, Zulia state, arrested a man for continuous sexual violence with penetration against a minor.
The events were reported by the mother of the victim, currently 19 years old, who assured that her ex-partner, identified as Narciso Junior Gómez Espinoza, sexually abused his daughter over a period of six years, starting when she was 13 years old.
He assured that the young woman had remained silent due to death threats received from Gómez Espinoza.
After the complaint, the officers carried out the procedure when the accused was preparing to arrive at the victim’s residence, at which time the officials informed him of the reason for their presence and proceeded to arrest him, Notitarde reported.
The detainee, 38 years old, was transferred to the Northeast Police Coordination Center, located in the Vereda del Lago park, to be made available to the Public Ministry.
